Lyrics: One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small,
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all.
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall.

And if you go chasing rabbits
And you know you're going to fall,
Tell 'em a hookah smoking caterpillar
Has given you the call.
Call Alice
When she was just small.

When the men on the chessboard
Get up and tell you where to go
And you've just had some kind of mushroom
And your mind is moving low.
Go ask Alice
I think she'll know.
When logic and proportion
Have fallen sloppy dead,
And the White Knight is talking backwards
And the Red Queen's "off with her head!"
Remember what the dormouse said:
"Feed your head. Feed your head. Feed your head"

  • So, let me get this straight. You want me to throw the tape recorder in the bathtub when White Rabbit peaks? Ok, close those peepers.

  • @bridgeteseketiku I just got finished listening to the SP version. Be honest, you were paid to say that, weren't you? Because somebody would HAVE to pay me to say something like that. This version genuinely builds thicker and darker as it progresses, instilling the madness of drug use into your mind; the SP cover is just a cheap "new-age" remix with no umph that the sound directors decided would be an edgey addition to a mediocre sex-appeal action vid that also has no umph. Must have been paid.

  • @TheBookWorm1718 Maybe she also read Winnie the Pooh, or maybe listened to Puff the Magic Dragon in addition to Alice in Wonderland... maybe a little Peter Pan in there too? (all of these depend on interpretation)

  • I LOVED this song as a kid, but the first time I'd heard it was hearing my cousin sing it when she cut her own CD, and a few years later I heard THIS version of it and I thought 'she's singing my cousin's song!' LOL

  • @eidolism No, Grace Slick wrote it because her opinion was a lot of children's stories had drug-like themes, like in Alice in Wonderland, eating the mushroom to get bigger and smaller. Alice aside though, I would really love to know what books she read as a kid.

  • @tinytot258 lmfao good call man, WHY THOUGH? XD
