I was fortunate to have dinner with Mr. Leach, at his home in St. Ives, a relatively short time before his death. He had become blind. I asked him, "How does one recognize beauty?". He answered, "When you have learned to recognize the beauty within yourself, then you will be able to see the beauty without".
