Acer Aspire "timeline" 5810TZ screen problem

This line problem ha been going on for quite some time now. It has worsened since I dropped it. Aside from the screen problem it suffers from the "freezing syndrome", it'll freeze up on me at random moments. Sometimes it'll do this right away. If there is anyone who can help me, I'd be more than obliged.

ah...how do I change the LCD? Do they have extra LCD's for the ACER Aspire?

And does your old acer freeze up on you?

the easiest way to change the lcd: bring ur acer to the acer store

OMG! I have the same problem! I triped and droped the laptop 3inches off the ground and now after 2 years, the screen has 2 lines down the screen. the ac adapter has problems, and the battery don't work. my one friend has damaged my keyboard and the part of the screen pad is now gone. man this laptop is cool, but it's too delacate!

mine has a yellow line too (5810t as well) and i didn't even drop it or anything... i'm pretty sure that you actually need to get the screen replaced in order to fix it but honestly i dont think its really worth the hassle..

This model Acer is not very well protected against outer influendes. The contacts on the bottom of the screen are glued on with tape. Not a solid construction at all. Replacing the screen isn't very hard, but a screen costs 100 dollars. Good luck!
