Someone needs to tell the Americans that the Irish actually hate the British (including the Scots) and in Southern Ireland they would be horrified to see people dressed like this - and jumping about like some sort of reject from a regiment formed by a tin pot desert dictator. If people want to see what real traditional Irish unforms look like - look up information on the uniforms of the "Royal Irish Rangers" and the "Irish Guards". The irish kilt incidentally is based on a linen shirt.

Please, someone tell these people they are making fools of themselves and it's a shame because these young guys are proud of their Irish heritage. This IS NOT Irish and it is typical of Americans being misguided and wrong. Firstly, the uniforms are based on Highland Regiments of the period when they wore British Redcoats. Firstly, the Irish did not wear tartans into the late medieval and pre-modern period in the same way as Highlanders. Secondly, they did not wear the Great Plaid like the Scots

If this uniform was supposed to look Irish who ever designed it didn't do a very good job , it is kinda- sorta like a Highland Regiment of the British army uniform ,not at all Irish looking and before anyone calls me dumb or something I live on the Island of Ireland and know what irish looks like

Someone looks DUMB AS FUCK with their foot in their mouth...Might want to check into your history and discover that Kilts are a symbol of Celtic identity. Not just for the Scottish, although they are more famous for them, doesn't mean it belongs only to them. Honestly do you really think a university as rich in tradition as ND would use a uniform like this if it had no meaning/history to it?
