...........................
Rahee is a poet, singer, composer, writer and activist who does 'art' as praxis. He is the lead of the ensemble LEELA.
One of the major figures of radical poetry and music since the 90s in Bangladesh, Rahee, the 'ROCK SAI(N)JI" as some of his friends/fans call him, is the main vocal, lyricist, composer and leader of the musical ensemble 'LEELA'.
one of the major LALON singers of the country with his unique gayaki, Rahee is privileged with an extensive exposure of the baul-fakir tradition of Bengal as he hails from a remote village of pabna, and as since childhood has maintained a close interaction with the baul-fakir practitioners.
Rahee has been actively involved in lalon and baul/ sufi culture for more than two decades, have the exposer with lalon traditions and practices in different parts of Bangladesh. He has been researching on lalon philosophy and culture, write ups published in different publications; Rahee is one of the major lalon song singers emerged recently.
Rahee maintains that, one who wants to sing lalon songs, must have that bhab and bhakti toward the philosophy and practice, that is , the politics of lalon and his followers, and try to practice for him or herself.
Inspired by thoughts of Lalon, Chaitanya, and other radical thinkers/practitionars, radical lifestyle according to Rahee is the individual and collective PRAXIS of LIBERATED DESIRE. From production to consumption. From attire to love. For example, in a capitalist, masculine-patriarchal, sexist and consumerist society and culture, 'love' becomes a commodity and an item of luxury; to put it in another way, the principle contradiction of the current age is capito-patriarcho-sexist-masculinity versus LOVE.
Thus, Rahee's claim is that through revolutionary praxis of LOVE, we can live a worthy present and future of ourselves, and that a radical lifestyle is the praxis of BARTAMAN.
@aruprahee; Thanks brother for the excellent answer. I live in Sweden and has done it all my life, so I have extra hard to understand it as well as you.

@motbrev: this is one of the most significant songs by great Lalon Fakir. In this song, Lalon explains how the 'creator' expresses itself through the human being, through history. He says, there is no 'difference'/bhedabhed between allah, adam( human being) and prophet muhammad. one have to historicize /contextualize 'love/ishk' and understand 'muhammad' through this. he says, the real mystery lies in the fact of naming the self and the other through which the Being signifies itself .
