This is Track 12 of 13 from Stone Temple Pilots' fifth album. I don't know why this album is ignored and considered their weakest. It is the one that first made me fall in love with this band. The heavier songs are, I think, very inventive and awesome, and the not-so-heavy songs are simply beautiful. I saw that their other five albums were all on youtube but this one wasn't so I did you all a favor and put it on here!

  • if only it wasn't for the poor choice for a single "days of the week", ANY other song on this album would have a WAAAAY better choice. This song is the best....

  • @zerutuby I like that this and most of the songs on their albums that I love the most were never singles, actually. Then it makes them less known. I find that singles of bands often end up becoming hated eventually by the majority of people. I don't know what it is but I tend to prefer songs that weren't singles to songs that were, with most bands.....I like that they remain "underplayed" and especially important to those fewer people who take the time to really listen to bands' entire albums.

  • in his autobiography Scott Weiland said he wrote this song for his newborn son Noah

  • @andrewsaccount09 This is true!

  • Thank you so much for uploading these songs! I must have this album. It's sound is often light, but much of the lyrics on Shangri are tender, heavy, personal and touching. These songs touch me because I can relate to the melancholy, the darkness and the light that I am hearing.

  • I remember thinking he sang "it's you, Yoda, it's you.."
