Ferret Goes Fishing - Catches 8 Fish!

Here we keep our naughty ferret busy- I mean, "provide an enriched environment" by making him work for his toys- in this case his favorite toy fish! He had actually stopped stealing these fish for about a year, until we re-kindled his interest by putting them in water and letting him fish them out. Now I do it once of twice every week and he gets a nice mental and physical work-out getting them back into the drawer where they belong.

@lenneffxtwo - I've seen these in dollar stores, drugstore toy sections, and with bath/water toys in big box toy and department stores (they squirt water). They are made of a harder plastic than rubber duckies- which is important because otherwise this ferret (and many others) might chew pieces off of them. But be sure to monitor your ferrets and check the toys often for signs of chewing just in case.

Wow, that's about the best Badger-like blaze I've ever seen on a ferret! Mine have always had less distinctive blazes. How old is he? I wonder if he'll stay this dark?

@Ferretocious - He's about 7 (and a little grey) in this video, and this is actually his lighter winter coat. You can see him as a baby at 1:09 in my other video "Pete's Life"- and see how little the stripe (& white tip of his tail) has changed. We've been pretty surprised.

Unfortunately his punky stripe came with Waardenburg Syndrome, complete deafness, & possibly a few loose screws regarding his behavior with other ferrets, but we love him dearly even though he's an incredible brat :)

@renaissanceferret my love playing with water but he hate being in it, it just funny..... love the video is so cute mines like to put his toys under the bed or anything that he thinks is his....lol
