After reading the Hobbit, I can agree that I gained a new appreciation for food. This is so old. It's very interesting to see the manner of people back then... i'm 16.
This is a goden video! Thanks.

i was trying to find a great author interview to find out how he talks or how his personality is, but it's really hard to find one. Hemingway was just an audio. but i've found Heller who was very entertaining, Tolkien speaks as great as his saga. I can't believe i've found an interview of him. The man was monumental as his work. very few great authors to see now. All i could see is dan brown. what sad turn of the 21st century.

Wow, it's so amazing to see the old master himself in the flesh, and getting to vicariously hang out with him. I don't know about anyone else, but his jacket's so awesome. I want it. XD

good footage shit public. maggoty scum
Would it be possible to add the rest? The last shot is striking: the camera pulls away from Tolkien and pulls away, and we realize it is filmed from a helicopter. Eventually we see a fair amount of Oxfordshire, I suppose. The take reminds me of something out of McGoohan's "Prisoner" series that was made at about the same time. Whether anyone had that in mind at the time, I don't know, but it's a weird little "1960s" type of thing.
