  • I completely agree with your comment about not being happy when you aren't connected with your creative energy. I feel exactly the same way. and you have inspired me to start my first quilt. I find you to be a very interesting person and I absolutely love the spontaneity of your quilt.

  • @talisarenee18 thank you. Please keep me posted on the progress of your quilt.

  • thank you so much for stating what I have felt but didn't know how to express it! :)

  • just start, you'll find your own way

  • Absolutely fabulous! You have a new urban fan! Watching you reminds me of when my mother would be quilting on her frame. I have been in a "funk" because I left one of her quilts in a dryer at a laundrymat. Of course when I ran back it was gone! To pull myself together, I decided to start quilting and use my creativity. Your comments on creative energy are so real! I'm getting my supplies organized now. I just happened to stumble onto your video, It was just what I needed!

  • Absolutely fabulous! It's 2010 and you have a new urban fan! I left one of my mothers quilts in a dryer at a laundrymat and I have been so upset about it. Of course when I ran back to get it, it was gone. To pull myself out of the "funk", I decided to start quilting to feel better and use my creativity. Watching you in this video brought back memories of my mother quilting on her frame. I'm getting all of my supplies! I just stumbled onto your video and it was just what I needed!

  • On so many levels what you're saying is true. One, the dedication that this project takes has shown me that a quilt isn't just something you throw together. It's a form of self-expression. I went to the Smithsonian and saw a quilting exhibition maybe 7 years ago and watching this series puts those quilts into perspective.

  • Once again I hit Post without reading and realizing that I have misspelled everything...My children embrace my creative outlets whole heartedly....Some family members do not though... considering it a waste of time if not making money for the family...I like you must create...I have been doing it since I was a child...it is my passion...my joy...my bliss...love your creative spirit Margaret...it is infectious...

  • Wonderful Margaret....Most of my creative work is embrased by children....

  • I understand what you are saying in this video. The thought came to me as you were speaking...WHO KNOWS...one day...SOMEONE's LIFE MIGHT DEPEND on that quilt...it's sheltering warmth...protective shielding from the elements....and IF that scenero NEVER develops, the other might be a multitude of folks who NEED to see the quilt...to UNDERSTAND...from whence/why it came....THANK YOU. I love the quilt...I love its creator....
