These plants include ornamental grasses and native flowers and shrubs. Next, Nathan Brockman, the entomologist and butterfly wing curator, explains how we use pheromone traps to lure the Japanese beetles (Popillia japonica) away from the specific plants they prefer and to reduce their presence in the gardens.
