4 Break Film Canister Aerial Shell

Testing a multi-break 35mm film canister salami shell. Four breaks, with some various stars and stuff I had around. Not great breaks or stars, but I was more interested in mainly the fuse timing, and also the amount of lift charge and flight time, before getting more serious about these, lol. Hey, these little shells are easy to make from easy to find film canisters. And they are fun, while requiring little chemicals. e.g., cheap, quick, and easy. I'll be putting these on some rockets as headers.
A chained rack of 20 of the little suckers would be sweet. I used visco for time fuse. I few film canisters, some hot glue, tape, and some cardboard cushioning, and it worked better than I expected it to.
I'm going to do a six break with bottom shot next time, should be interesting. I'll spend some time getting the shells to break better and look better by using more stars and a harder burst charge.

I consider trying it myselv as I just love those small shells. How long was the mortar you used?

@HandMadeFireworks Hi, I think that mortar was around 20-24" in length if I recall correctly, it was pvc since the diameter is so small.  pvc is fine for these little canisters :)

ok, so i want to start building these, for all i have made is some badazz firecrackers out of homemade black powder... and those canisters and pill bottles... do you think i could use easer egg shells, ??? thanks

pretty good but you need to figure out a way to set ur stars betterso they dont shoot dif directions still pretty good
