  • Yes and we will probably be forced to pay for it by raising our state taxes ...they will be forcing us to get the shot and I have already had N1H1 and i am alive and well happy to say.

  • Let your decision about H1N1 vaccination be your own decision for you. For your children don´t do it if both parents do not agree on it, and in any case do your own research besides consulting your pediatrician. I did my research on a global basis for my grandaughter who is 14 and my daughter who is 39 and my advise is don´t get vaccinated, the knowledge on the risks associated with taking the vaccine is not enough for making a sound decision on it. Remember: is your decision.

  • What's with all these panicky ignorant morons spewing out the first thing they heard about the swine flu vaccine? Why is it that they never do their own research, and usually make such outlandish (and overused, unimpressive) claims that there is some sort of conspiracy?

  • Myself, my mother and my 4 year old sister have all had swine flu, nothing any worse than common flu (possibly less)...

  • Immune suppressed patients can not have the vaccine as even the weak version of the flu could make them very ill. Just like any virus, bacteria or fungus that they come into contact with. They rely on us getting the vaccine to reduce the chance that they will come into contact with someone with the virus that may kill them. Herd immunity.

    Hope that helps.

  • To summarize:

The live vaccine has a weak and damaged version of the wild virus in it. It in effect gives you A flu but not THE full blown swine flu. This is preferable as the vaccine will not kill you where as HN1N has killed people.

  • defenses.

The immune system after learning how to attack this new virus remembers how to respond when it comes across it again. This cuts the 'trial and error' period down when you come across the wild version. Your immune system kicks in before the virus has a foothold.

  • The live vaccine contains a 'beaten up' version of the virus. It is not capable of acting like the wild virus. Think of it like bull fighting. If you were training to fight and kill a bull it is likely you would be set in your first attempt at a real bull against a sick or lame animal. This makes it easier for you to find out the weak spots and get practice targeting them.

Same with the immune system. The outer coating of the virus is similar enough to the wild virus to develop suitable...

  • Refuse the Vaccine! It has mercury inside the h1n1 flu shot. Don't get it!
