Not only can Charice hit you with jaw-dropping power, she also has one of the most melodic voices around and this song is a great example of that.
This video and also her performance of 'If I were a boy' appeared very soon after she returned from one of her first trips to the US. So soon after in fact that I wonder whether she went straight from the plane to the studio!
In any event she must have been very tired - which probably explains her slightly 'spaced out' look at the beginning, - but it didn't seem to affect the quality of the singing at all. Amazing that this was just a fill-in on another program.

We are so fixed with originals that we do not give covers their full due. I felt the same way as Femaks, but as I kept listening to this version, I began to notice how much nicer it is. All covers by Charice I've listened to so far are better than the originals. Even Charice's "Angels. It creeped up on me. I am not saying all this because I am a fan of Charice. I am saying it because that's how it is.
