Personally, I enjoyed both versions. I'd certainly be willing to watch a 3rd director's take on it.

well I would say remake dune, but based on the comments in this clip, dont remake it. david lynch focussed on the politics, yep, because thats what the book is about. if you make it into an action adventure film, your missing the point.
