I know this is from the book by Michael Crichton and it follows the original book very closely.

I think MC got the story from a real account by an Arab trader and the Beuwulf tale combined.

It's an excellent film and a few more dollars and CGI would have put it up there with Lord of the rings.

Does anyone however know how accurate the Viking prayer actually is and if so please pass the source on to me.

I love how even the dog is getting on the action and kicking ass and taking names. That dog is faitheful too. You can tell by his whining when Buliwyf dies.
