I don't understand, how did you save the Citadel and the Council? They specifically give you a one sided choice at the end of Mass Effect 1

gotta love mass effect, other things that are interesting also, are the Side quests, if they are done they have an impact on the 2nd game

I wasn't aware Liara could be in this opening. I thought it was either Kaiden or Ashley. I remember on my (M!Shepard) save when I killed Ashley and didn't romance Liara, it was Kaiden running there, so I just assumed it was either of the two human companions.
