So this is the last video from WikiRiffs Volume Two. Volume Three will begin on June 2nd.

Next week (I didn't make it very clear in the outro because I was tired when I shot it) I'm going to post a new updated 'Rules' video and start a series of video-blog style things about the project.

Lyrics:
Turn on your TV screen
Internationality's the new scene
Eurochannel airs what it can, all on its own
reaching out to teach you from a frequency unknown

Broadcasting entirely in original audio
Subtitled in languages you don't know
We watch as you notch another demographic
In effect redirecting all the TV traffic

Don't go, don't fall asleep
I'll be counting shows while you count sheep
Satellites from such great heights will fall as stars
Stopping static with acting and playing rock guitars

Programming cinematic content for the world to see
showcasing musicians on their TV
We observe as you serve another broadcast showing
and contrast with the last to keep the airwaves flowing

Don't go, don't fall asleep
I'll be counting shows while you count sheep
Turn on your TV screen
Internationality's the new scene
Eurochannel airs what it can, all on its own
reaching out to teach you from a frequency unknown

  • Will you ever put your songs on itunes?

  • @queenofredlions Will I ever? Probably if there's enough demand. Will I do it right now? Unfortunately, no. There are various fees and stuff for putting music on iTunes that I don't feel like paying until I can make enough money to justify it.

Also, you can stream entire tracks from Bandcamp (instead of just 30 second clips), buy the songs for the same prices as most iTunes tracks, and download them in any format you want. So I figure iTunes can wait.

  • wikiriffs is better than autotune:/

  • @MrHumbugz I think autotune has become a musical device in its own right. I won't claim to be an incredible singer, but I could have left the autotune off. I added it because it makes the vocals sound electronic themselves, which suits the track more. In my opinion, anyway.

  • I like the nostalgia of the montage of your videos :D Looking forward to volume 3 :D

  • @Frainchan I'm looking forward to it too. I have some fun ideas that I'd like to try out this time around. We'll see what comes up!

  • I can't wait until I have a bit of money to splurge on Volume Two!

The song mixes nicely with the montage - I like it!

  • @Coldspider801 Volume One is available for free. I mean, you can donate if you feel like it's worth paying for, but since all the tracks were recorded on a laptop mic I figured I'd give it away for free. =) Thanks for your support!

  • I'll buy the first two volumes tonight.

  • @piecesofkate Did you still like it when you watched it? 'Cause it's ok to still like it in retrospect.
