VERY well done and VERY touching. I'm sorry for your loss. The next military funeral I go to - being a veteran myself - those Westboro Baptist people had BETTER NOT be there. I'll end up in jail but, it might be worth it.

I AM JOINING THE NATIONAL GUARD IN 2 MONTHS FROM NOW. I HOPE WHEN I GET KILLED IN COMBAT MY FUNERAL IS THIS NICE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

@nokia26300 both military and police can have a horse drawn funeral specially if you are very important to them
-
@nokia26300 I think horse drawn is only for police officers. I haven't heard of military personnel getting their caskets horse-drawn. Its worth looking into.

@aviationwingnut very well said my freind ill be right there with you if those westboro baptist ppl show up and we will go to jail together
can i ask? what rank needed to have a horse-drawn military funeral

@nokia26300 Of the few national cemeteries that have a caisson detail assigned to them, e.g. Arlington, Ft Sam Houston, etc., this honor is typically reserved for the rank of Colonel and above, and for active duty members killed in action, regardless of rank.

I went to school with Alex's brother Jose who is a Marine. They are both hero's.

Jose was in attendance and I agree they are both heroes.
