@floopyb Indeed! FumeFx gives much more realistic result.

@floppyb I've been trying to use fumefx with PFlow to achieve a similar thick curly smoke. The smoke movement is coming good acc to the particles and it looks quite thick. But it doesnt have the curls and looks very static as it rises up. Can you please suggest what I should do to achieve the 'curliness' and the fine movement of the smoke like you have here

@varunbondwal For big scale smoke make sure you have your Time Scale set high (2-4) and then you need to balance your Advection Stride and Vorticity. I usually start at advection Stride 0.4 and Vorticity 0.6 then go from there but it is very scene dependant. Keep both between 0.2 and 0.9 (unless you have a reason to).
The particles are in the mouth of the volcano only and dont go high at all.

10 days?
With afterburn or cebas pyrocluster this would take 3-4 hours.

@VFXTutorials But it wouldnt have the correct motion... just pflow with cloudy blobs... not good enough for what I needed.

looks great I think. The water mark was HIGHLY distracting though.

Cheers! Not much I can do about the watermark. The company I did the work for wanted to protect their assets but let me put them here watermarked. Better than nothing!!
