First off, you have no right to criticize this dancer unless and until you are in the Kirov as a soloist and dance this variation even better. Second of all, just because Gillian Murphy can spin does not make her a ballerina. Why not focus on both dancers lovely gift to us as their audience and stop making yourselves look foolish!

Hahaha. Yep, ballet is all about tricks!! Nothing else, yep.. pfffft. I did actually wonder how old this video was, because the standard is so different to companies these days. Just to clear things up.. I'm not American. No where near it in fact! Hahaha

stated like a typical American. Extension and how many turns are all that are important to you. You also don't seem to realize that this video is quite old. And do you really think the Kirov would hire anyone if they weren't capable dancers? Well, since I can't instill an appreciation of real culture over you, I'll just let you believe that tricks are what make true ballet.
