Mel Howse was Commissioned by Christian Aid to design and create the 'Poverty Over' sculpture which will tour cathedrals throughout 2011/2012 where the art in enamelled steel will be on display.

On the 10th January 2011 Mel was photographed with her sculpture in the A.J Wells & Sons studios as part of an ethical fashion shoot for www.ethical-hedonist.com

The Clothes:
Ritzy, tailored trench in organic cotton and lined with peace silk, to order from Tammam Couture
Top hat, a treasured, family heirloom.
High patterned pumps from Beyond Skin.

Topaz silk, Pre-Raephelite evening dress, to order from Elena Garcia, worn with a Berlin, cut steel diadem from a flea market.

Toile de Jouy dungarees by Lu Flux, worn with a cascade of pretty beaded necklaces from Dragonfly.
