    This is Doris. I like the back thing. Have never done that and I've had my foam roller for several years now - on my 2nd foam roller. The quads and sides of my thighs I've been doing those recently and they hurt soooo much. Could this be the cause of my recent knee pains?

    I used to have plantar fascitis years ago, but when I used the foam roller and worked on trigger points on my upper calves, that seemed to cure the plantar fascitis.
