OH come on Emma; he did that stuff for you; its obvious he made the place up for the father; for Emma's pleasure; besides for her father; of coure. I heartley agree maegil1984!! Love that painting in the hallway when Emma and Jane are talkig. OH really; Mr. Knightly; could u be MORE subtle!!

Emma really must have been completely blind to not see how Mr. Knightley was throwing a hint there. In fact they all were blind to not see that his affection towards Emma was not of a friendly nature. He has loved her always.
