First Drive: 2008 Honda Accord Sedan by Edmunds Inside Line

We admit that after a day of driving the redesigned 2008 Honda Accord, our reporter's notebook was completely blank.

It's not that there's nothing to say about how the 2008 Accord drives. It's that the Accord drives as brilliantly as it always has. In the rising tide of class sophistication, the Accord has maintained its position among competitors. It's smoother than the sometimes coarse Nissan Altima. And it's more alert in its responses than the cushy, isolated Toyota Camry.

I just bought one . a black on black 4-cylnder exl automatic for 22,857 plus Tax and fees. although now i am wishing i would have bought the V6. there is not much difference in fuel economy and for the extra 2k i would have gotten a lot more. but i was too cheap and didnt want to end up paying 30k for a honda.

I can't get over the ugliness of the radio integration in these cars.. a small detail for sure, but it is probably one of the most used devices in the vehicle besides the steering wheel, and it appears as those the radio is busting out of a womb.

Would you guys kindly welcome me to the club of people that have ridden in 2008-newer Honda Accords?

I rode in a V6 EX-L Navi coupe on August 31, 2011 at 7:54:10 pm butt-in-seat. As a former Honda hater, and 18 year old car enthusiast, I can admit I was very impressed. It seriously felt almost like an Audi A8, which is twice the price.

I am very glad to have ridden in that Accord. I am proud to be a part of your club.

@spacyfoil I agree it does look upscale. Btw, I ended up with 2006 Accord V6, Leather with Nav (ALL BLACK.) My bro has a 2010 Camry. Side by side my Accord is definately upscale. But I am very sure his Toyota's engine is prolly more reliable. I take you drive a Toyota ? Lookin to get into an Accord ?

@happy543210 the point i think is that you shouldnt have to learn how to work a car you should just get in and go it should all be intuitive. havent driven an accord but im sure its simple for me but somebody in there 70's i dont know.
