  • oops, below I meant a TS-940S meter, the black one.

  • Years ago a friend and I had fun with the camera on his computer. We placed it in front of his 751A meter and filled his 28" monitor with the meter scale. It was a blast to sit back in the easy chair, pull the boom mic over and be able to clearly see the S-meter!

That gave me the idea of using a small box painted flat black on the inside with a TS-930 meter mounted on an interior wall & bright white LEDs behind it, with UV LEDs on each side of the painted white needle & a camera inside the box

  • Without the meter cover and done carefully it looks like a glowing bright sapphire blue needle moving in the blackness with a scale brightly lighted behind it. The entire screen is black and only the bright glowing needle and the scale is visible in the 22" monitor on the wall.

I dedicated an old 1.8g computer to it and it's always on with the radio!
