Episode 2 : Some Close Friends

Settings: Lunch break at rehearsals; around 1pm

Nick: *looks at Joe in confusion, notices that he looks tired & sleepy*

Kevin: *notices Nick and smirks* Someone has slept for only 2hours..

Joe: *snaps out of it and glares at Kevin*

(a/n Nick has no idea about Joe's feelings for Demi)

Kevin: Whoa.. Look at these cookies, they look so yummy! *helds up the cookies & laughs nervously*

Nick: *smirks* hey! those are mine!

Kevin: Nah-ah! I dont think so! *covers the cookies*

Nick: *reaches some cookies* Heeeeeey...!!

Joe's POV

Oh just great.
Now Im stuck in this place with my 5y/o-minded brothers. I sighed as I think of ways how to avoid boredom. Well, I can always send her a text message, that wouldn't bother her much if she's doing something at the moment.

I guess I'll go send her a text message, then. I pulled out my cellphone from my right pocket and started typing.

Hey Dem.:)
So r u havng ur lunch now?
----

I smiled and looked up for Demi's number in my contacts and clicked it. I examined my message for a sec if there's an error and
then clicked "send".

I looked back up at my brothers and saw Kevin blocking Nick's hand over the cookies.

"You're not getting any, Nicholas!", Kevin selfishly shouted at my little brother as I loudly smirked.

"OH YEAH!??", Nick started to tickle Kevin which made him run away with the cookies clasped in his arms. Nick rushed after him and now they're all over the place.

They look so utterly amusing that I can't stop laughing.
I was about to scoop some food but in a sudden, I heard my cellphone beeped. I turned to see that I've just received
a new text message from Demi. I enthusiastically read it.

Hi Joe!
Wow.hvn't heard frm u snce i dnt knw wen.
Yes.im hvng my lunch now.you?
----

I felt a strange surge of pleasure. I then found my lips were curving into an involuntary smile.

I sighed and replied to her:

yeh,im hvng lunch too,wid my
5y/o bros.nick&Kev kip fytng over sum cookies.
so whos wid u ryt nw?
btw,i miss u :)
----

And hit "send" again. I hope she's doing great and she's having a good time. I sighed and grabbed some food and popped it into my mouth. I continue eating my food and looked up for a sec just to see my brothers running around the place. I chuckled a little and continue eating.

Just about to finish eating, I heard my cellphone beeped again. I picked it up once again and reads the text message from you know who.

lol.i wish i cud see dose 2 fyting over
sum cookies ryt now. nwy, im wid sum clse frnds.
aww.i miss u 2.
----

Ohmygod she miss me too. I felt like dancing. I can feel my blood flowing ridiculously fast inside my body.

But wait, she's with some close friends? I wonder who they might be.
Im curious, but it's great to know she's with some people she trusts.

I calmed down and replied:

dey'r all ovr d plce at d moment.geez
nwy,hu's clse frnds?
----

and hit "send" again. It's not that I really have to know, Im just really curious. I grabbed the last piece out of my plate and swallowed it.

I don't have anything else to do but to watch out for my brothers. I looked up and heard Kevin pleaded "heeeeeeeey! Give me my cookies back! you lil thief!" while chasing Nick. My little bro laughed evily and beamed "There's no way, big bro!" and then he ran at full speed. I know, I know. I have to stop them now, but let me enjoy the moment first.

I waited, suddenly, I heard my phone beeped again.
I read it:

lol.u better stop dem now.
do u rly nid 2 knw hu's wid me?why?
hey,sorry,i gtg.i'l txt ya l8r. tc
----

I sighed heavily and frowned a little. Have I gone too far by the question? I just wanted to know. that's all. I put my phone down and got up in disappointment.

End of Joe's POV

Meanwhile with Demi...

Alex: so you're texting, who? *raises an eyebrow*

Demi: Joe. *bites her burger*

Selena: It's only Joe, Alex. No need to worry.

Alex: Yeah right.

Demi: overprotective much? *laughs*

Selena: *giggles & drinks her tea*

Alex: Well, I'm your boyfriend, right? *in serious tone*

Demi: I guess. *looks down at her food*

Selena: *looks at her bestfriend & sighs* *thinks: I knew this is a bad idea* so.. Alex, when's your next tour? *trying to change the topic*

Alex: Oh about that.. *grins and tells Selena about their tours*

Selena keeps asking Alex some more questions to change the mood

Demi: *sighs & pretends that she's listening to their conversation* *thinks: I still wonder how I have let things happened this way.. that is utterly not supposed to. I wish Im with.. Joe.*

Woah dude that's any awesome epi ohhh I wonder what Joe will do about Alex...I'm wiggling in my seat while people are looking at me strange. Well I didn't need to type that but oh well I just wanted to say that this is probably one of the best series I ever read in a while even though it's only episode 2 but still it's awesome keep up the good work!
