They have very limited power, that's why you have to resort to those wheel and hook kicks to the head. Because your rh, fk , sk are incapable of taking someone out. You and I both know that. Please tell me what a thrust kidk is. If I say you exhibited limited power here I have to call it as I see it, right? It's not an offence.

Your ideas presented are primative and taught to you by a traditionalist. This is real fighting and you do not understand this because you are at a low level. Get in the ring for a few years and move around with full contact fighters then perhaps you will then understand. "Snap kick" and "thrust kick" that language is very low level karate dojo on the corner speak.

No, I do know what I'm talkin about, but I was too harsh, you're right about that. 'Doing things that make him less effective'? I don't know, we used to attack and counter when we sparred, there was a lot of action , crisp technique with hips and legs entering, straight lines from the heel to the fist for power,sharp combinations. Do you know the difference between a side snap kick and a side thrust kick? Those distinctions and others like them aren't evident here. My opinion, no offense meant.

side snap kick? are you kidding me? Try that stuff on an expeienced full contact fighter and Pro kickboxer like Myself or Joe Lewis and you'd have a rude awakening to Reality. You wouldnt pull any of that stuff off on me and thats a Fact. You wrote I have no power... you have limited understanding and knowledge

I don't spar with karate dojo types but seasoned Real Fighters who know the real arts through doing it. Sparring in a class dojo is like playing hopscotch or tiddlywinks.

terrible, no technique, no combinations, no power. both awful, only 2 good punches thrown the whole time and neither one using hips and legs. The Japanese karate men are laughing at this boxing brawling nonsense

Hey You think You can do Better? I'm The guy sparring with Lewis. You have no clue what you are talking about.. Joe Lewis is dangerous and very powerful. I was just doing thing's that I would do with other kickboxers which made them less effective sometimes. I sparred with a lot of Pro boxers and Pro kickboxers through the years. We weren't trying to kill eachother in our sparring matches. I was trying to learn what I could from The Great Joe Lewis

Lewis trained with My Teacher's teacher The Great O'Sensei Robert Trias The man who brought Karate to America. Trias was a Middle weight Boxer BEFORE he learned Karate, hence Joe Lewis fights like a Boxer and a Karateka to folks unfamiliar with Shuri-Ryu Karate. In Shuri-Ryu Karate ALL forms Western and Eastern combine much like Bruce Lee's JKD. Therefore when facing a Shuri Man like me. I will be a Boxer, thean Karateka then Judoka.Straight Hsing-Yi to Tai Chi movements it's a Complete Syatem.

@videosarchive wow that was you sparring with lewis? thats bad ass. my teacher is always talking about how lewis used to whip him and every one elses ass back in the 70s. i think its funny how socrates1818 is saying its all awful. i would like to see him tell joe lewis hes awful! LOL

I think lewis has some bad roman noodles the night be fore or something because I just don't see him letting someone fight him with there left hand on there hip and not taking there head off with punches (plus he isn't moving well not foe Joe Lewis)
