How does this thing affect your home's power? Does it use so much energy that you'll blow a fuse? My house is older, so I'm a little worried about the wiring holding up. No garage to store a larger snow blower, which is why I'm looking into this particular unit.

I have used my power curve for 7 years . I never had any maintenance or repairs in that time. Hard crusted snow is the only thing that gives it trouble. But a little pattience and some weight on the bars and it will surprise you every time. I grease the shoot when the snow is wet and it never clogs up. I will buy another one if it ever dies on me.

This video is hilarious. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I could have shoveled that same amount of snow in half the time. I understand people have back problems and stuff, but it just looks funny seeing that big machine removing strips of snow that are one inch deep. It's like using an electic knife to cut a banana.

Start on one side of the driveway, probably where the VX was...Place the power cord to you left and shut towards the other side of driveway...Each time you go down driveway, turn the shut the to the same side of driveway and keep blowing snow off cleaned area and also the power cord will never get in you way...I've got a craftsman gas blower, but also the 1800 toro and two toro electric snow shovels...I like to change up now ans then...lol...

This snow blower uses up to 12 amps, about the same as a circular saw. I regularly plug it into a 15 amp circuit and I have never had a problem. You should probably use a heavy duty extension cord or the tool will have a tendency to bog down in heavy snow.

You should unplug the snowblower next time you put your hands in there to unclog it. You may lose a finger next time.

Excellent point! The cord, while it was unplugged from the switch, was still hanging from the handle. I probably should re edit this video to clearly show that it is disconnected!
****Note****Always disconnect the cord before you reach into any power tool*****
