This is the maddest project to undertake, but we did it. We built our own pool. It is heated, and fully automated. Scary building it as I didn't know if it would work. But we have had great fun using it.

  • woow!!!! i'm extremely impressed. thinking of having a pool aswell but the only thing holding me back is the contract price but after seeing this, i think i can actually do it myself. but i'll like to no, what exactly are the main equipments needed to build one including tool. please help me :)

    thanks!

  • @solexta

You would be best getting the details from somewhere like PA Pools. Don't know where you are based, but they deliver the parts according to your specification and are very good on advice etc. It is a lot of work, and you will need an electrician and gas fitter. But it's a great project and we get loads of fun out of it now.

  • that's what I call a team work.. Question, no iron grid??

  • @gabrielirlanda Not sure what you mean about an iron grid? Are you talking about re-inforcing around the edges? It has 1.5 feet concrete band around the top which is sufficient.

And yes, it was truely a team effort; now it's a team passtime!

  • WOW!

I bet now you have the coolest garden in your neighbourhood!

I have to make do with my Intex 15ft wide 4ft deep pool, but I suppose it's better than nothing. But yours is absolutely brilliant!!!

  • @ILoveMadonnaForever

Thank you. We do enjoy it.
