Eastern High School in Voorhees, N.J. won its 10th straight state championship in 2008, becoming the first field hockey program in the history of the National Federation to do so.
The streak has been built on a combination of early exposure to the sport though top-flight middle-school programs, a varsity head coach and staff with high-performance tactical knowledge, a community willing to support its athletics programs, and numerous families who have embraced the game and passed it along to their children.
The team is in the Federation record books for its record 151 straight games without a loss, a 93-game win streak, and for breaking the 125-goal barrier on numerous occasions throughout the last decade.
