I think you mean "elusive" & "burden" and sorry - I think your responding to the wrong person here. I have never bothered to count the number of changes to the BoM. Find someone who has and fight with them.

why would i talk to mormons themselves?..lol..they believe in magic underwear......and they are a hypocritical cult...

@IndigoCharlie mormonism is not true. the true and only way is through CHRIST. not the bom. the bom has many contradictions and false teachings. i pray you see the truth.

If polygamy was needed? then why were 10 of Joseph Smiths plural wives married to other living men? sex for Joseph Smith was needed, lmao
-
Ploygamy was never legal, so much for article 12, it was ignored by Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, John Taylor, Wilford Woodruff and many others.

All religion is bullshit and the route to all evil in this world today. If people would actually take a step back and looked at religion with an open mind and common sense this world would be a much greater place. How can someone believe so deeply in a unprven book full of stuff that has ZERO solid evidence. Some people are just so gullible that religion takes advantage of their weak minds. So sad.

I always find it fascinating that with all the many and literally thousands of Christian denominations, that mormonism is attacked the most. Live and let live!

Wow, I just learned a lot, and you thought it was wrong, but my spirit just testified to me that the mormonism was true. Thank you. I will investigate the Mormonism because my spirit leaped in my soul that it was true. God must bless you, you have given me a path to truth, I know now what you don't agree with is true. Thank You. Mormonism must be true. I can feel it. Thank you again. I feel truly blessed.

You never listed any reasons, so neither did I, but I rebutted the most commonly given reason, to make up for the shortage of men in Utah. The number of plural marriages were not dropping - who said they were? More LDS fiction.
No doubt you've been given many reasons for polygamy, but the real reason is too distasteful for your church to deal with. Smith was a sexual predator (like Jim Jones, Koresh, etc.) & tried to legetimize these liasons by pretending it was ordered by god.
-
Really it wasnt? So the fact that leading up to the point when it was stopped all together the number of plural marriages was dropping means what then?
Forgive me for not being 100% correct on the internets. I also like how you only cite one reason when i said there were many do you have a rebuttal for the other reasons?
-
You misused the word; should have said polygamy was waning, not "waned out". But it wasn't waning at all. The reasons LDS leaders have given you are bogus. There were many more men than women in Utah. Check census records.
So if you're told to cheat on your wife by your church, you'd do it, no questions asked? Geez. You belong to a mind-controlling cult.
-
Waned means it was disappearing. Its most commonly used to describe the moon. As the moon wanes it is disappearing.
Polygamy was practiced because we were told it was to be practiced. I have heard reason upon reason as to why but im sure you have heard most of them and will have a counter argument so why should i begin to list some of them.
through jesus christ we can all return to our father in heaven

I agree but you dont need another prophet to tell you that. Have you ever tried reading the bible for yourself? Humbley with a clear and open mind, without any LDS influence in your thinking. Try it
