For Peter's songs, go to: www.petermayermusic.net .Add &fmt=18 at the end in your browser for High Quality! The Casio CDP-100 is a killer piano, keyboard for about $400. It has 5 presets and when I tried the string sound, it sounded "mellotronish" so playing "Watcher Of The Skies" was the first thing that I did, although I'm playing it better than when I first uploaded this. I also have a cd out called "Collection". Check out my Youtube channel for videos. You can buy the disc at CD Baby: http://www.cdbaby.com/mayer11
and Itunes!: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/collection/id422162169

  • Nice excerpt.

I like the lighting too .Good for these "dark" chords.

    ...

  • @SteveHoweJeffBerlin thanks man! A few not right thangs, but I ain't gonna do it again!

  • I have a few advices for future and current users.

DO NOT USE INTERNAL SPEAKERS - only for practicing.

Get yourself a decent amplifier and a pair of good speakers.People sell them now for close to nothing on E-bay and Craigs list.then get a cord and plug piano into a good Hi -Fi system. Once you hear a sound , you will be amazed. As far as "clicking" keys - you will not hear it ,when the sound is like it should be.Also this piano has a great hammer action.Do not compare it to $50,000,00 grands!

  • @chriskar5 He's right. Since it does not have an output, I went to Radio Shack, got a stereo mini plug, bought a female mini plug that went into two male 1/4 plugs. Perhaps there was female rca's at the end, I can't remember and I don't feel like walking down stairs. But go to the Shack.

  • good job peter!

i just bought this keyboard and couldnt be happier with it!

i get NO NOISE from my keys, people need to stop believing the "bad" reviews and go and try it and you'll be sold.

best piece of equipment for the money!

my friends are pissed cause they spent 800- 1500 for stuff that's just as good or worse than what i got for 400 bucks!

if your thinking of buying a keyboard, this one is it! I looked at every single keyboard under 1000 bucks and this is what i picked. I LOVE IT!

  • @aknowneemus thanks, a few mistakes but the feel is there.

  • it's really amazing to me- no matter what keyboard it is at any price- nothing sounds more musical than the CDP-100.. even any of the more expensive casio keyboards don't sound as good as the CDP-100.. most acoustic pianos don't sound as good as the CDP-100.. definitely get good speakers- playing on 6 watts per channel with tiny speakers in a plastic case is NOT the way to play THIS piano..

  • @PeterMayer Yes Peter! There is a cable with mini 1/8" stereo plug on one end and two RCAs on the other .It is a bit expensive (about $19.00) but well worth it. Then a trick is NOT to overdrive an amplifier and for the beginners , I reccomend to set a volume on a piano half way and then experiment for the best balance between volumes of an amp and piano.

  • @SnowWhiteQueen5 Not a big deal at all. Every instrument with hammer action does that. It's just that expensive ones (in thousands) glue a thin layer of decorative red feltto stop a key from hitting back too fast. Trust me Casio is greatly underrated , but I am glad, because their instruments are affordable. Once they become too popular, prices will skyrocket.
