I've not seen this series since it was originally broad cast in the 50's!
Great to see it again, thank you.

This was on tv in the UK in the late 60s early 70s... been around 40 years since I saw it last... thanks for posting

@jcmark611 : you don't have a damn clue what you're talking about, you jerk. Go fuck yourself, and try to grow some brains while you are doing so - dickhead !!

What really sucks is that FRA laws now dont let a steam locomotive run at full boiler pressure anymore (10 psi less then manufacturers recomended running pressure). Back in the 1880's heck even 1940's and 50's if you and your fireman wanted to 'burn up the track' it was not ok but alot of people did it...... get that fire hot hot hot and get that pressure up up up! Few really did though unless they had something to prove such as a late train, long train, steep grade, etc

It would appear so. Also the cannonball from other episodes is drastcally different from the locomotive used in other episodes. Anyone have any clues as to why?

Funny, its a show about trains in the midwest, yet, the engine, the coach, and the caboose? >.> there hawaiian...the 3 pieces are Oahu Railway.

This was not shown where I grew up in Oklahoma. Strange, saw all the other B&W westerns but not this. It's a surprise to see Alan Hale Jr in anything except a movie western or "Gilligan's Island".
It's really very good. Thanks mill6771....
