Shias & Sunnis are equally Muslim, my brother. The problem, as we both well know, stems from the incidents immediately after the Prophet's lifetime. Remember my explaining to brothers & sisters to remember why exactly was it that the Prophet's immediate bloodline was murdered off? To me it is a matter that needs answering! Ali was amongst the righteous! So, we cannot discount his authority. We need to define what the authority between caliphate & imams (two separate responsibilities) are.
