At least it is in tune! It is just not a broad sounding organ like the English organs have.

are you an profesional organ player or a very good amateur player?

hard work on this mechanic organ and with this small ellection of sounds. compliment

That organ has a very beautiful sound (in my view) but it's very week, expecially the pedal but also the manual is not so strong. I think a slower performance get more evident these factors. I think on that organ a "toccata" performance is not too bed. But of course it's just an opinion...on a big organ and in a church with reverber it would be just impossible and stupid to play it so fast, I would prefer a more majestic performance

I would like to hear you play this piece on an instrument with more voices, especially in the pedal. The pedal line got lost against the sustained chords in the manuals, and I know you were limited by the resources of the organ you were playing.

ya...it should absolutely have reeds on the pedal but the live performance (I think) was not so bad because the faster speed I chose could cover, could hide a little bit this lack.
But I also think this organ has very beautiful sounds, I think you cannot have the right idea because of the bad recording quality but I really enjoyed to play it.
Bye bye

Well, I understand what you mean about the organ, but I wasn't in fact suggesting a more majestic performance, rather a more evened-out and rythmically "calm" performance. Mendelssohn is quite an odd ball in the romantic organ repertoire: Romantic, yes, but also very baroque and classical.
I my opinion the main theme of this movement is one of Mendelssohns strongest, and by far the best organ theme from his hand, and it deserves a lot more accentuation in my opinion.

I don't know...you know the Mendelssohn's great talent for melodies, something extrimely natural,in this sonata there's the II mov as a prove of what I write. Now in this IV moviment he writes a theme that's not like a "Romance without words" but it's a theme good for toccata in my view.

and about the spead I think it's important to consider the "Harmonic rythm" instead of a "melodic rythm" because of a toccata theme, that's mean you could beat just at the beginning of every mesure. It's just an idea but I think it's a good way for a theme made by an arpege

and about the themes of this sonata: the first is tipical theme for a poliphonic development, the second is a "romance" the III is tipical recitative theme and the IV a toccata theme. No...I don't like it slower...it slows too much also the harmonic rythm...but I understand it's just my opinion...thanks for suggestion
