It's really unbelievable how the suppress women. Hell they even have them dreaming of these huge debilitating dresses which is a very symbolic representation of their views on women. Very much reminds me of foot binding in Asia.

@ooonurse33 I politely disagree! for so many reasons,mainly being that the bible points out to dress modestly,and those that did live in bible times such as King David as im sure you know,went after Bathsheba and committed adultery with her after seeing her bathing on her roof so as you can see baring of much flesh can have the opposite effect! But each to their own,i shouldnt be surprised really to see many religions that follow the beat of their own drum and make up their own rules!!! =)

@Supablonde1 Its not an evangelical church, I was brought up Anglican and this kind of contrast between the behaviour and the event is commonplace. I assume this is a Roman Catholic church...not all Christians are the same. I wonder though if the fact that they are so demonstrative with their sexuality through dress and dance if that allows them enough of a "release"/makes it easier to stay pure before marriage?

Not hitting you, not cheating on you, capable of keeping a job and not a drunk... These things make me think of how increbily high my own standards are in finding a partner, yet reinforce them. Attractive, smart, funny. If they tried to stop me going to work or expected me to have kids on their timetable, I'd find that grounds for divorce.
