Are these pruning methods for any variety of lavender? I just planted one of a Spanish variety (otto quast). Would appreciate a response for anyone out there.

Another great tip.. no wonder my lavender bush is the size of a small sheep!
My rosemary bush is way overgrown now too, the stem would do for a railway sleeper.. I guess I shoulda pruned it like this too? Cheers

Do you ever respond to your video comments? Any point in asking you questions? Just wondering.......

hmm, I guess it's a good idea to do that especially colder places like Pittsburgh(here I am)It dies back a bit.
I planted some that grew great but died when we had a very cold -5F, er that's -23C. I had a cold backyard then, very dark in the winter.

Hi I planted lavender this spring - south facing in a bed at the front of the house. It grew to about a foot tall but never did flower? Any idea why ? thanks so much
I planted a couple small lavender plants last year, and it made a nice bush. It grew about 2 feet, but not many flowers. Pretty plant though.
We are coming into spring, and about to get my garden going. Should I cut my lavender plant back now, and as short as you showed?
I hope to get an answer, as I am one of your most watched fans. By the way, you never replied, when I asked - Why did you cut your hair! PEACE Bro.

i'd still prune it but not so hard, conditions sound harsh so you need to leave it enough to get by on even tho its dormant, prune harder late winter/early spring, hope this helps!

it will require a good amount of sun to flower, maybe some fertiliser too. thats the usual reasons, hope this helps!
