This movie kicked a lot of ass when it came out. The soundtrack was sick, the CG was great for it's time, and the general plot was decent. (or atleast, decent enough for me)

Eh, it was okay. The story was great, and I agree with everyone else about the CGI, but what really brought it down for my was the acting. Spawn and Merlin were hairline actors and I found the little kid annoying, but overall it was a great movie for its time. I guess what bugged me the most was its disloyalty/overloyalty to the comics, where some were just wrong and others were just trying too hard. I think that if someone made a reboot/sequel it could soar if they gave it a bit more grit.

Damn this guy needs to chill himself, the CGI was made over 13 years ago. It looked great for its time.
Please show me another superhero movie with better CGI during or before 1997.
Also learn to back your statements up with examples or comparsions especially if you're going to say a bunch of negative things...of course that should go without saying.
