Rosamond Carr, an American living in Rwanda since 1949, converted her estate into an orphanage for displaced children in the aftermath of the genocide that took over 800,000 lives. Though Rosamond passed away in 1998, the Imbabazi Orphanage in Mugongo continues to provide shelter and care for war orphans of all ethnic backgrounds in Rwanda. This short film by fbi productions, profiling her story, premiered at the Fifth Anniversary Volvo for life Awards ceremony in New York in April 2007.
