All-time 3 Lap Official World record 2:39.373 (WR)

Comments & Additional Information:

Well this isn't a bad standard, tried to straighten up using tilts and get my timing better as well as perfecting the part in the tunnel and using breaks to a minimum.

*There are NO CHEATS on the PC so this makes my record VALID DESPITE THE APPROVAL OF THE BELOW.

  • I just came less then a second from this time on the N64!

  • Awesome. Just had a look at this... another airbreak crazy lap, and a few timing errors, like at 30-38 sec... I think I might have tidied this recently, Not sure if I've actually done a faster 3 lap version of this race, but I think my single lap has a better approach for that part...

  • Damn yea, this is what I'm talkin about! Best track heads on!

  • Urm yea thats fine if the controller you use is N64 then I suppose any records you set will be for N64... haha yea feel free to post them too on the website.

  • @Mikeyburger3 I am using Windows XP actually. And the Nintendo 64 emulator is completely on the computer. It's basically exactly like the console game, but you play it on your computer with a program, and I use a USB controller instead of the keyboard. I might try to start putting up some personal record videos soon, just to get a start on my swe1r videos ^_^

  • continued.... when you say N64 emulator on the compter do you just mean where the screen is a computer screen, but the game and console is from N64? Presumibally < cant spell that lol, it makes no difference to the game? if Not then thats not a problem! Yea, did you wonder about N64 world records? there was a small problem with it, also decided to keep records for N64 and PC separate as it just isn't fair to compaire the two.

    Oh do you use Vista?

  • Oh it's just a youtube site, but when I work out how to set up a website I will do that :D... it's on my profile at the bottom called podracing elite... Ps if you join I can't currently approve members I have like 6 or 7 people waiting, something wrong with the thing duno why, just have a quick read threw the notice on the top of the notes page. Haha Ooooh breaks... To be avoided at all costs haha!! Urm if you can proove you're not using cleats then absolutely!! World record approved :D

  • @Mikeyburger3

Oh, I'd love the link to the site! And to be honest, I haven't really ever used slide at all in my races, I have become used to using the breaks quite well haha. This might be an odd question, but do world records (or any records for that matter) count if they are done on a Nintendo 64 emulator on the computer? Even if I recorded from the title screen to show no cheats? I am trying to get the PC version running but I get the white screen of death at the start >_<

  • continued.... But yea I think that's as good as any.. there are no other parts I don't think :( It's annoying because I also wanted every pod with top grade parts... also the top speed doesn't mean the Top boost speed only the cruising speed which is 650 ... but with bens 400 boost thrust he can hit 1050, or would if he didn't overheat to quickly... anything else I can help with?? I have a site set up dedicated to SWE1r btw :D

  • Yea there is a little trick with that with ben... you need to get the "feel" of the controls and practice using slide regularly, it's amazing what it can allow you to do, and is best demonstrated on the MON GAZZA race, if you have a look at those records I did they look impossible but there is a way of making him do sharper turns with the clever use of slide... it's hard to explain. Urm thats probably the best way of doing it, I personally don't buy anything until I've completed the game.. contd
