ok... had to use offset dowels on the 4 cylinder ford kent engine I did up when I was in my 20's ...fitted a fast road cam, freeflow exhaust and ported the head and that was fun...the gearbox lasted 3 weeks before the extra power and revs wore it out!
This particular sprocket has two sets of holes, as a matter of fact I had to use the non-stock set on this one to get the correct timing. There are some timing sets that have a cam sprocket that is infinitely adjustable or you can use offset key on the crank.
Transmisions always seem to get the worst of a new engine. ;-) Cheers!

is that what the cam timing is supposed to be? If it needs adjusting how is it done, offset dowels, or slotted sprocket?
