I think a lot of Republicans just learned that Africa is a series of countries and not an entire country itself.

amen to that. the only people who are opposing the bill are the super-rich conservatives who already HAVE health care, and could care less if the poor do too. the fact that they needed to come up with bullshit lies like "death squads" to scare people is proof that the bill itself has nothing really negative about it

that study is complete horse-shit. There are laws that prevent hospitals from turning people away from receiving care, as well as dozens of programs for people who don't have money. you are pretty foolish to buy into a Yale study, like that is the end-all be-all, and that there is no political tie in to it. Extreme bias.

Hospitals can't turn people away from treatment (at the ER), but by the time someone with a deteriorating illness gets there it's already too late and they will die anyway. Otherwise they cover up the illness until the patient comes back worse later, ready to die. Worst case scenario the hospital gives the needed operation, etc., then the patient defaults on the debt and goes into bankruptcy. The patient loses his/her lively-hood the hospital loses revenue. They both lose. how effective is that?

This thing will be a bloody nightmare. This will create further taxation, which will create a diverse effect on unemployment. You're forcing coverage onto people who otherwise choose not to have coverage, besides insuring millions of illegals, and not to mention billions in Medicaid cuts.

The federal government is extremely ineffecient with regards to running anything. Look at Social Security and Amtrak.

Most illegals won't get be able to get coverage due to advances in electronic record keeping. No body "chooses" not to get health care, they just can't afford it. Anyone conscientiously choosing not to have health is a disaster waiting to happen. The real problem is insurance companies who deny benefits to those who already have it. They find little loopholes to avoid or severely postpone treatment, waiting for you to die or live with illness.

The reporter says at 0:36 " Africa is a country in itself". He doesn't know what a continent is either! And what the fuck does "knowledgability" mean? Why not just say "knowledge"?
Fucking Americans.
