Annals of Medical School description of how Avandia (Rosiglitazone), a medication for type II diabetes, has recently been under scrutiny for possibly increasing deaths from heart attacks and other heart complications. It describes a recent study in the New England Journal of Medicine on the effects of this thiazolinedione (TZD) drug and its mechanism of action. www.annalsofmedicalschool.blogspot.com
Diabetes is destructive enough on its own, but if you try to control it with rosiglitazone, better known as Avandia, it could cause a heart attack. A study found that people who took rosiglitazone for at least a year increased their risk of heart failure or a heart attack by 109 percent and 42 percent, respectively.

Great discussion on how avandia works in the management of type 2 diabetes. This narrative is entertaining, informative, and enlightening.

Drugs can be dangerous! Try this. After 3 weeks of taking GlyPerfect, I noted a dramatic drop in blood sugar level. I had readings 150 to 165 prior to taking GlyPerfect , and some as high as 300+ml/dl. improvement after the third week. For the first time in over 10 years my fasting blood sugar levels are within "Normal" range. This morning I was at 105---WOW! My medications, diet and exercise did not quite control my blood sugar. Now it appears handled.
