@sourcherries73 Well if you had XXXX amount of weight and padding added, flat skates, big slow stick, and guys 200+ lbs shoving you all day, you'd hit them too. Goalies can hit players not only because it is rare, but you are also leaving your net focus to hit, and that can cause a real easy goal if not done correctly. And players can't constantly hit goalies, again, because it is rare goalies hit and if players were just hitting a bulky slow goalie the whole game it'd be stupid.

@sourcherries73 goalies can't make offensive plays you can only hit a player who has the puck and is therefore offensive

Tim Thomas is a beast! The dude's in his late 30's and he's playing like a kid. Vezina Trophy, Conn Smythe Trophy, and the Stanley Cup, all in the same season. Doesn't look like he's slowing down at all this year, either. Wouldn't surprise me if the Bruins repeat. And the best part is when you watch him, he's having so much fun. THAT'S what it's all about!
