All About The Eights

August 8, 1988, KMOT-TV, Minot, ND - It was August 8, 1988, or 8/8/88 in calendar shorthand. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to do a feature story about the date. The angle? The number eight gets no respect in many aspects of daily life, it seems, and yet its influence can be found all around town. After seeing this story, one person said I could make a story out of anything. I told him I had been doing that for years.
