My little daughter Anya-Mychelle was born to this song last September. For some reason, we felt Anya has an old soul and her looks are so reminiscent of the 20s and 30s. This will always be HER song.

This was "our" song. My late wife and I were having dinner at a sidewalk cafe, on a hill on the Left Banque of Paris back in the 80's. Suddenly, we heard La Vie en Rose. We looked and saw an elderly man wearing a beret, walking up the cobblestone street playing his concertina. It was THE most romantic evening we'd ever spent. Many more were to follow until I lost her 5 years ago, but this song remains one of my fondest memories of being with her. I'll never love anyone like that again.
