Newt Gingrich followed Bill O'Reilly's lead last night on The O'Reilly Factor, talking about how Americans' drug use -- and not horribly wrong-headed American drug laws -- are responsible for the border wars being waged by Mexican cartels.
O'Reilly seemed to think that Singapore might be a model to follow, since things work so swell over there ... so Gingrich does him one better.

How bout the troops who patrol Afghan poppy fields to have the heroin produced sent around the world? CIA makes huge cash off of drugs. CIA makes huge cash off illegal arms deals. Problem reaction solution. They produce and distribute the drugs, then they bust people for drugs and throw them in jail. Then the make it mandatory to go into rehab...money making machine...hypocrites.

Newt Gingrich admits to enjoying his pot smoking days in grad school and in 1982 introduced pro-marijuana legislation in Congress. What hypocrites!
