Trujillo is located on the coast of Peru it almost never rain but now...the city houses were not built to endure rains and there are many houses built of adobe with flat roofs,,,if it regularly rains they will melt like chocolate...is it global warming...or el niño ..we dont know...but climate keeps changing

  • Rain is usual in Trujillo every year by January, but only some hours and one or two days. It is only in summer. I am from Trujillo and I lived there 30 years and every year the Mochica channel, built by Moche ancient people, used to overflow its causeway. Remember in 1994, corps were floating in this Main Square after a flood came from a Cementery. Fujimori closed with concrete such channel.

    The city never was prepared in spite in 1925 there was a huge rain that destroyed the whole city...

  • That is the truth! Trujillo is not prepare for that type of rain.

    I know that cause I'm from Trujillo but now live in long beach CA .
