Judgment! 3/3 - The Bosnian 'Death Camp' Accusation: An Expose

In August 1992, millions of people were shocked to see photographs of a supposed Bosnian Serb death camp.

The photos were produced by ITN, the British TV news giant, from footage shot by an ITN film crew which spent a long day in Bosnia. The film was shot in a refugee center in the town of Trnopolje. (Pronounced Tern-op-ol-yay)

Most of the photographs featured a tall, emaciated man with a deformed chest, stripped to the waist, apparently imprisoned behind barbed wire. Do you remember those pictures?

They were a hoax.

This is proved in the Emperor's Clothes movie, Judgment! To start with, the barbed wire was staged. As you will see in Judgment!, the ITN film crew went inside a storage area surrounded by a chicken wire and barbed wire fence. They filmed through the fence, thus creating the false impression that the people they were filming were fenced in.

That was only their first cute trick. Step by step, Judgment! shows how these phony pictures were created. Judgment! is so damning that ITN's lawyers have threatened the Internet company that hosts the Emperor's Clothes server with a law suit because we advertise the film on our website, www.tenc.net!

The fabricated photos were broadcast worldwide starting on August 6th, accompanied by captions and comments comparing Trnopolje to Nazi death camps.

I like the documentary and it is important to hold journalists like Ms. Marshall to account for misrepresentation. Well done.

The only problem is the fake conversion at 4:47-4:48. It is obviously not real and it's just a bit weird. As Chomsky says, those that criticise power need to hold themselves to a higher standard than those that support it. I think you already made your case with the rest of it.

It's shocking that LM magazine was sued in the end. British libel laws are terrible.

Glad you liked JUDGMENT. Regarding 4:47-4:48, theres NO fake conversion. The video straight-forwardly shows how it is possible to take the JUDGMENT footage (which was shot a few feet from ITN and is therefore almost identical to ITNs footage) and, using a few tricks (distorting & blurring images & eliminating color), create false images of a death camp. ITN did just that, and then broadcast these images world-wide. I thought I explained that in JUDGMENT, but perhaps I was not clear enough.

God bless all the people at Emperor's Clothes who worked so hard on this educational video to absolutely show what liars and cheats the people who profited from these lies were. These lies spewed forth untrue propaganda religiously, resulting in so many unnecessary deaths with their unjust demonization of the Serbian people.
