  • Yes because it's human milk NOT an animals milk...why does the father need to feed a baby? Peds make me nervous...their just VAX pushers and baby (formula) artificial feeding company men! Look at any Ped office...sickening all the free formula...

  • My husband thoroughly enjoyed watching my daughter and i bond and when i was not feeding her,he would play with her, read to her, bathe her, etc. He and i were both relieved to not have to worry about waking up in the middle of the night, half sleep trying to fix a bottle and then get it at the right temp. When all I had to do was whip that breast out and feed her while we were laying in a side by side position. Now as far as HIV being transmitted to the baby through breastmilk Cont

  • @squash124 my babies are healthy and very smart, and were all formula fed. I dont think that mothers who formula feed their babies should be looked down apon as bad mothers. Im not saying that you are looking down on mothers who formula feed, but you said there are no positives in it...My babies are living proof that formula can also be good for your baby!

  • What a load of dribble-- there are no positives to giving a baby artificial baby milk

  • It's STANDARD infant nutrition period.Change the semantics..i.e. formula is not natures recipe, formula fed infants are more prone to milk allergies, formula does not contain antibodies, formula feeding increase the risk of infections..the list goes on. If breast feeding and breast milk is STANDARD,then what does that make Formula? To list as an "advantage" of breastmilk makes it seem "extra" and it really isn't.Just what is standard for EVERY baby!

  • The so called "disadvantages" can be overcome. The mother should continue taking her prenatal vitamins while breastfeeding to obtain the needed iron and vitamin D. The baby and mother can obtain the extra vit D by going outside in the sunlight for about 15-20 min a day when the sun's rays are not the most harmful. I completely disagree with the fact that there is less father involvement. (cont)
